Bigfoot/Sasquatch Activity Report
Reporter: Sharon Harkless
Location: Southern Peoria County, Illinois (property line borders Fulton County)
Date of Report: July 2026
Incident Summary
1. Aerial Anomaly – 2019
- Date/Time: 2019, evening during family stargazing.
- Witnesses: Sharon Harkless and immediate family members.
- Description: While outside stargazing, the group observed a single floating light moving across the sky at approximately helicopter altitude. The object made no audible sound. It slowed, came to a complete stop directly in front of their position, then accelerated rapidly away at high speed, described as “shot off like a rocket.”
- Notes: No conventional aircraft characteristics (navigation lights, engine noise, or rotor sound) were present.
2. Trail Camera Captures – Late 2019
- Details: Approximately one to two months after the aerial sighting, several images were captured on a trail camera positioned on the property.
- Content: The images showed anomalous figures/ activity (specific descriptions available if needed for follow-up).
3. Close Encounter – 2021
- Date/Time: 2021, daytime.
- Witnesses: Sharon Harkless and adult son (plus family dog).
- Location: Lower wooded area on the family property.
- Sequence of Events:
- A “weird black plane” flew unusually low overhead.
- Both witnesses immediately experienced a strong, shared sense of dread.
- They heard what sounded like a man whistling, walking directly toward their location.
- Aware that neighbors would have identified themselves and knowing the family had been making noise, they ruled out a known person.
- The witnesses hid behind a tree and brush. The dog attempted to investigate and had to be physically restrained.
- As the whistling figure got closer, it suddenly disappeared with no further sound or visual confirmation.
- The pair immediately left the area and returned to the house.
Recurring Activity
- Frequent tree knocks and occasional sounds of large trees falling in the wooded sections of the property.
- Owl feathers regularly found placed on paths (possible “gifts”).
- Rabbit tails incident: After verbally complaining about rabbits eating new garden plants, three furry bunny tails were discovered neatly arranged in the middle of a path the next day. The family kept one each and left the third in place.
Additional Notes
- The property consists of rural, hilly terrain with significant woodland cover and water sources — habitat consistent with reported sasquatch activity in central Illinois.
- Multiple family members have experienced these events over several years.
- Behavior observed appears curious and non-aggressive, with possible signs of habituation (responses to human presence and conversation, gift-giving behavior).
Reporter Statement:
Sharon Harkless reports these experiences as genuine and ongoing. The family continues to monitor the property and document any further activity

Addendum
We were on our walk out in our field and noticed what looked like a foot print… it could be how the snow melted but we noticed 4 toes imprinted in the ground. I’ll forward the picture.
